Alan McGee
Scottish businessman and music industry executive Alan McGee has been a record label owner, musician, manager, and music blogger for the Guardian. He is best known for co-founding and running the independent Creation Records label and discovered and signed both Oasis and Primal Scream. In 1997, McGee spearheaded a media campaign for the Labour Party aimed at appealing to Britain’s youth culture prior to the General Election that year. He currently manages Happy Mondays, Black Grape, Shaun Ryder, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Ocean Colour Scene, Cast, The View, Alabama 3, Huey Morgan, Blow Monkeys, Stereo MCs and The Gulps.
