Jamie Fobert
Jamie Fobert CBE is a London-based architect and designer. Born in Canada, he arrived in London in 1988, establishing Jamie Fobert Architects in 1996. His architectural projects have ranged from houses and retail to public buildings for the arts, including the 2023 redevelopment of the National Portrait Gallery. Other projects include extensions to Kettle’s Yard in Cambridge and Tate St Ives in Cornwall (shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize), the redevelopment of the Greenwich Royal Observatory and a new Maggie’s Centre in Coventry. Alongside lecturing and teaching, Fobert is also chair of trustees for the Architecture Foundation and a trustee for Camden Arts Centre.
