Professor Jon Bell, an expert in the pioneering field of interventional oncology, is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at The Christie in Manchester. He has been the Clinical Director of Radiology at The Christie since January 2021, where he leads a world-renowned team. After graduating from the universities of St Andrews and Manchester, he trained in surgery and clinical radiology before completing higher subspecialty training in interventional radiology. In August 2024, Jon was appointed as a Manchester Academic Health Sciences Centre Honorary Clinical Chair at The University of Manchester. He is also an ambassador for The Christie Charity, which aims to deliver the best experience and improved outcomes for cancer patients. His father was the former Manchester City midfielder Colin Bell.
