Graphic artist Lily Mixe moved from Paris to London before settling in Margate on the Kent coast, where she now lives and works. She produces works on paper, canvas, found objects and the surfaces of walls in the street. Although her work focuses on the wonders of nature, in particular the sea, her subjects appear otherworldly: like aliens from our own planet. Mixe studies the evolution and interconnectedness of the various species that live alongside us, creating works that remind us how fragile, beautiful and complex life on Earth can be.
