Paapa Essiedu
Paapa Essiedu is a London-born actor whose career spans television, film and theatre. He has received both Emmy and BAFTA TV nominations for his performances in I May Destroy You and The Lazarus Project. He was also in the cult series Black Mirror, Demon 79 and the Christmas movie The Genie. Recent projects include The Effect at the National Theatre. He is currently starring opposite Saoirse Ronan in the film The Outrun (based on Amy Liptrot’s memoir), which screened at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Berlinale 2024 and Edinburgh Film Festival, and is filming a comedy horror called The Scurry.
