Midge Palley
Philanthropist Mildred (Midge) Palley OBE supports youth-oriented art education projects. At the National Portrait Gallery, she co-developed Creative Connections (2012–7), working with schools through art. In 2023, the Gallery opened the Mildred and Simon Palley Learning Centre. She recently founded The Mildred Fund, which supports visual arts institutions to equip young people – in school and community settings – with creative tools for them to thrive and shape their own futures. She has an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, an MA in Museum and Gallery Education from UCL and a BA in History of Art from Wellesley College.
