At 13, Nicola Clarke had a Saturday job at a local salon, which inspired her to pursue a hairdressing career in London. There, she discovered a talent for creating beautiful colour. She soon started working at London Fashion Week with hairdresser Sam McKnight, meeting clients such as Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna. After becoming Head of Colour at John Frieda Salons in 2001, Clarke continued to work on shoots, film sets and red-carpet events with clients such as Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, Sienna Miller and Kate Bosworth. Today, she is Creative Director for John Frieda and has opened her own salon in central London.
