Since establishing herself as a milliner in 2011, Victoria Grant has become known for her distinctive designs inspired by British culture and heritage. As a child, a visit to the Honourable Artillery Company made a deep impression on her, and military hats and ceremonial dress remain a strong influence on her designs. Starting out as a fashion stylist, Grant was lacking a hat for a shoot of Pearly Kings and Queens, which prompted her to customise a flat cap with pearl buttons. To this day, she regards her hats – which have been worn by Madonna, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga among others – as an artistic canvas.
